Vigilance belvedere, built by the monarchies of Portugal and Spain, around 1585, on top of a hill at the convergence of the Ribeira’s River with the mouth of Paraíba River. The panoramic view of this masonry and sandstone tower, that was part of a defense system of Saint Philip and Santiago’s Fort, goes from João Pessoa and Cabedelo, both on the right bank of the Paraíba River, until Pontinha de Lucena, on the left bank.
