Mamanguape's Bar

District of the Rio Tinto city, the place where the Mamanguape River meets the sea is one of the most beautiful stretches of Paraíba’s coast. Right at the spot where the waters mix, the set of corals can be seen during low tide. There, is the headquarters of the Manatee Project, managed by the Chico Mendes Institute – ICMBio. With the objective to protect the manatee and the mangrove ecosystem, it was created, in 1993, the Environmental Protection Area of Mamanguape’s River Bar.
